2020 ABIM Certificate Holders
If your ABIM certificate is due in 2020, the ABIM has announced that due to COVID-19, individuals having attestation or points due in 2020 will have until 12/31/21 to complete them. Please check with ABIM on the 2021 roll-out of Knowledge Check-In for gastroenterology.
2021 ABIM Certificate Holders
If your ABIM certificate is due in 2021 and you pass the traditional 10-year MOC exam, your next assessment is due in 10 years, at which point you can choose between the longitudinal pathway or continue to take the traditional MOC Exam.
ABIM Requests Feedback by October 31, 2020
Your feedback about ABIM's plans to offer a new longitudinal assessment option (https://bit.ly/2ZOMjdP) has been requested. ASGE encourages members to take time to review this new program and to send ABIM feedback (see below).

This form will remain open through October 31, 2020.
ABIM’s Forthcoming Longitudinal MOC Pathway
ABIM has announced that over the next five years, it will offer 120 questions per year toward the longitudinal MOC pathway, delivered periodically. ABIM question release allows gastroenterology diplomates four minutes to answer a question and, each year, have access to a 30-minute time bank you can draw from if one needs extra time on a question. Diplomates have the option to skip a question, but must decide before opening the question so it will not count against your score. ABIM’s longitudinal MOC pathway performance standard indicates whether a diplomate met the passing score at the end of the five-year cycle. While diplomates receive feedback on how you’re doing along the way, including how you are performing relative to the passing score, a determination is made at the end of the fifth year if the diplomate met the performance standard.
