Dr. Aaron Shiels joined Rockford Gastroenterology Associates in 2004 and currently serves as Managing Partner. He is a board-certified Gastroenterologist. Dr. Shiels received his medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis where he also completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Gastroenterology Fellowship. He specializes in liver disease and disorders of the biliary system and pancreas. At the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford, Dr. Shiels holds the title of Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine. Dr. Shiels is a member of the ASGE Reimbursement Committee. He previously served on the ASGE Health and Public Policy Committee.
