Dr. Monica Saumoy is an attending physician at the Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center. She is triple board certified in gastroenterology, internal medicine and obesity medicine. She is also a therapeutic endoscopist who underwent additional training as an interventional gastroenterologist.
Dr. Saumoy focuses on empowering patients to understand available clinical options for various medical diseases. She wants all patients to be able to make informed decisions for their own health care. She strives to put patient’s quality of life at the fore-front. As such, her research focuses on developing minimally invasive therapeutic techniques to manage a variety of gastrointestinal diseases. To further her expertise, she also pursued a Masters in Health Policy and Economics, focusing on comparative and cost effectiveness. She sees patients for advanced endoscopic procedures as well as endoscopic treatment of obesity.
