Dr. Salaria is an associate professor of Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she practices as a gastrointestinal, liver and pancreas pathologist. She completed her residency and fellowship training at The Johns Hopkins University Department of Pathology. She is the section chief and fellowship director of the Division of GI, liver and pancreas pathology. She teaches nationally, and internationally. Dr. Salaria is actively involved in clinical, and collaborative NIH-funded basic science and translational research. Her research involves the study of inflammatory esophageal pathology including esophageal lichen planus, as well as neoplastic and non-neoplastic hepatic pathology reflected in many peer reviewed publications. Dr. Salaria is also involved in diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and serves as the DEI officer for her department.
