If you are a GI fellow today, the good news is that gastroenterology has the most job opportunities among our internal medicine subspecialties. As the demand for GI services continue to diversify in a post-pandemic era, gastroenterology jobs are increasingly available in many geographic and practice type settings. This program has been designed for the second and third-year GI fellow in mind. It will address a variety of clinical and non-clinical topics that are not commonly covered in detail during local fellowship training. Leading ASGE clinical and practice setting experts will facilitate a combined immersive lecture, breakout discussions and endoscopic skills-based/hands-on experiences.

During the program’s conclusion, we will help in drafting a priority list to focus on what you are looking to accomplish in your early career years. In this process, we will assist with prioritizing your ideal list, how to do your due diligence, ask the “right” questions, involve those within your family and close network, and then go with what “feels" right.

Registration is complimentary and in-person seats are limited!

Participants will be able to:

  • Identify professional and flexible approaches to employment options, knowing the right questions to ask, how to assess DEI related topics while responding to inquiries from future employers
  • Experience more detailed hands-on training that you might have only touched upon in your formal training as of current date (e.g. EMR, suturing, enteral stents, management of GI bleeding and various balloons)
  • Determine strategies to balance personal and professional goals
  • Describe current trends in the field of gastroenterology and endoscopy practices while listing anticipated growth opportunities within the market
