Fellows Programs

ASGE provides fellowship programs focused on enhancing skills in gastrointestinal endoscopy. These programs offer hands-on training, education, research opportunities and more.

First-Year Fellows Program

The ASGE First Year Fellows Program offers US-based first-year GI fellows an intensive endoscopy curriculum with hands-on training at the ASGE IT&T, covering both foundational and advanced techniques. In-person participation for these courses is limited to the first 100 registrants. Two of these courses will also be available on a virtual basis.

Note: You must complete the online membership application and be approved to be eligible for registration.

Senior Fellows Program

ASGE's complimentary Senior Fellows Program for 2nd and 3rd Year GI Fellows focuses on essential non-clinical skills not always covered in training. Gastroenterology offers the most job opportunities among internal medicine subspecialties, with diverse roles across private groups, hospitals, academic settings, and partnerships, including those requiring advanced endoscopy skills. The program includes hands-on training.

Advanced Endoscopy Fellows Course

Designed for Advanced Endoscopy Fellows who are focusing their careers on advanced endoscopy techniques, this course combines video editing skills with hands-on instruction on a variety of cutting-edge techniques. Case-based lectures by renowned faculty will be held in an intimate atmosphere. In exchange for this excellent opportunity, fellows are expected to submit a video to the DDW video forum.

If you are interested in registering for this course, please send an email to membership@asge.org – and note “Advanced Endoscopy Fellows Registration” in the subject line. This course is complimentary for ASGE Advanced Endoscopy Fellows members in good standing, although participants will have to pay for their own travel and hotel expenses.

Note: You must be in your fourth year of fellowship and/or third year if you applied to the AEF Match program at the time of this course.
