Dr. Draganov is a tenured professor of medicine and the director of advanced endoscopy in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at the University of Florida in Gainesville. Having earned his medical degree from the Medical Academy Sofia in Bulgaria, Dr. Draganov trained in medicine and gastroenterology – including advanced endoscopy at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston.
Dr. Draganov’s clinical interests in advanced endoscopy include EUS, ERCP, cholangioscopy, EMR, deep small bowel enteroscopy, ESD, POEM and Third Space Endoscopy. His research interests are in the areas of outcomes research, new technology evaluation and training in advanced endoscopic procedures. Education has been a major focus for Dr. Draganov, and over the years he has been involved in training endoscopy techs, nurses, medical students, residents, GI fellows and practicing physicians.
