ASGE Makes an Impact at the Central American GI and Endoscopy Congress
Collaborating with the Association of Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy Specialists of Costa Rica, ASGE played an integral role in the Central American GI and Endoscopy Congress, contributing expertise and resources that enriched the meeting. Prior to the Congress, ASGE hosted the 5th Lower EMR STAR Program in Spanish, attracting over 20 participants. This dual engagement highlighted ASGE's commitment to advancing gastrointestinal education and providing valuable training opportunities in the region, while also fostering international partnerships in the field.
ASGE Highlights at AMEG’s 52nd National Meeting in Acapulco
ASGE attended the 52nd National Meeting of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, hosted by the Mexican Association of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (AMEG) in Acapulco, Mexico, from September 12-16. The event included a congress, postgraduate course and hands-on sessions. ASGE staff were warmly welcomed by outgoing President Jose G. de la Mora-Levy, MD, MSc, FASGE, incoming President Yola Zamorano Orozco, MD, and the many attendees who visited the ASGE booth to receive their complimentary international sampler of educational content and to learn about the benefits of membership and the new international pathway for the Endoscopy Unit Recognition Program. ASGE and FAAED Collaborate at GASTROENDO 2024
ASGE recently returned from a successful collaboration with the Federación Argentina de Asociaciones de Endoscopía Digestiva (FAAED) at GASTROENDO 2024 in Cordoba, Argentina, held from September 12-15. At the ASGE exhibit booth, attendees explored e-Learning resources tailored specifically for Congress participants to enhance their skills in gastrointestinal endoscopy. ASGE faculty member Klaus Monkemuller, MD, PhD, FASGE, led a session on "Endoscopic Simulation and Continuous Learning," emphasizing the critical role of simulation in training. FAAED President Pablo C. Rodriguez and President-Elect Rafael Escobar Fernandez expressed their appreciation, emphasizing the importance of continued collaboration between the two organizations.
