Biography

Jason Klapman, MD, FASGE, is Section Chief of Endoscopic Oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center and Professor of Medicine at the University of South Florida in Tampa. He is an advanced therapeutic endoscopist, with his clinical interests centered on the diagnosis, staging, and treatment of gastrointestinal malignancies. His research is focused on pancreatic cancer screening using advanced endoscopic procedures such as endoscopic ultrasound. He has a passion for teaching and has been invited faculty or course director for multiple educational and hands-on courses around the country focused on gastrointestinal procedures. Dr. Klapman has been heavily involved with the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE), serving on multiple committees, including as Chair of the Educational Products Committee. He is currently a member of the ASGE DDW Hands-On/Simulation-Based Education Committee.
