Gastroenterologists and Anesthesiologists in Massachusetts: Take action to oppose BCBSMA anesthesia policy
Starting Jan. 1, 2024, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts will begin enforcing their Policy 154. BCBSMA will reject payment for many claims for propofol/monitored anesthesia care as not medically necessary for numerous GI procedures.
