Endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) is a demanding procedure requiring a high level of expertise.  This course will dedicate significant time to practicing skill technique under the direction of ESD experts, making it the perfect resource for endoscopists who desire to begin their ESD learning through acquiring the fundamentals of ESD. At the conclusion of the course, you’ll gain expert feedback through an initial overview skills assessment.

Endoscopist’s assistants are also encouraged to attend providing the opportunity to:
• Train team coordination to gain familiarity with the devices and electrosurgical units
• Adequately handle and position the scope
• Rehearse typical and crucial movements to ESD, improving tip control

Sign up now and end the year on a high note!

Participants will be able to:

  • Identify the benefits of ESD for malignant and pre-malignant lesions of the GI tract
  • Identify the risks of ESD and the correct identification and management of complications
  • Differentiate the pros and cons of the different ESD techniques
  • Demonstrate basic techniques for submucosal tunneling
  • Demonstrate proper techniques of endoscopic submucosal dissection
  • Demonstrate traction method to assist ESD
